Pregnant Woman Working Out

Pregnancy is a joyous time, but can often be hindered by aches and pains. It is common to experience a variety of symptoms such as:

  • Low back pain

  • Tailbone pain

  • Sciatica

  • Urinary incontinence

  • Pubic symphysis pain

  • Pelvic pain or pressure

  • Round ligament pain

  • Numbness/tingling in the arms/wrists/hands

  • Constipation

Physical therapy is a great way to improve and manage any of these symptoms!

Young Mother and Baby

Very little emphasis is given to a mother's postpartum recovery. Together, we can change that!

You get "cleared at 4-6 weeks" postpartum, but what does that really mean? Think about the changes your body went through the past 9 months. Most commonly your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles have been stretched, your posture has changed, and your breathing pattern is different. These changes can lead to:

  • Back pain

  • Diastasis Recti

  • Leaking

  • Pelvic Pain

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse

The expectation of bouncing back quickly after pregnancy is unreasonable, unobtainable, and not at all realistic!

Early postpartum recovery is important for getting you back to exercise, normal daily activities, lifting your children, and most importantly feeling like YOURSELF again. Infinite Joy PT can help you navigate your postpartum recovery!

"At my first visit with Rachel, I learned that my symptoms were all stemming from an imbalanced pelvic floor. After a handful of sessions with Rachel and implementing the exercises she gave me to do at home, I have noticed a VAST improvement with all of my symptoms."
